Principles of Play
In Possession:
Create Space
Movement
Support
Out of Possession:
Press
Compactness
Each player has a ball and dribbles freely inside the area. Players must protect their own ball while attempting to knock other players’ balls out of the grid. If a player’s ball is knocked out, they move to an outer zone and continue playing until time is called.
• Encourage close control using both feet
• Promote shielding with strong body position and balance
• Reinforce keeping the head up while dribbling
• Praise competitiveness, resilience, and effort
Progression 1:
Reduce the size of the playing area to increase pressure and improve speed of decision-making.
Progression 2:
